An opportunity has become available for a Business Services Manager or Senior Manager to join this innovative CA practice. They have been providing Accounting, Tax, Corporate Advisory and CFO Advisory services to clients for almost 20 years and have become a prominent and respected firm in the marketplace. Their clients range from SMEs, corporates, family groups, investments to international businesses and ASX listed entities.
You will play a key role by assisting the Partners with the development of the business, as well as managing existing clients and the day-to-day activities and controls of the firm. This role will function in both an advisory and compliance capacity.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Reporting to the Partner
- Managing portfolio of approx. $1M in fees along with 3 team members
- Preparation, delegate and review of compliance work including financial statements, tax returns, activity statements, FBT, etc
- Research and provision of tax advice on issues including FBT, Div7A, GST, CGT concessions, etc
- Tax planning and restructuring advice
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients in Australian and internationally
- Setting budgets, schedule workflow, manage delivery and deadlines.
- Mentor and develop staff and be proactively engaged in building strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Special ad-hoc project work
Applicants:
- Experience working in a Manager or Senior Manager capacity in public practice accounting
- CA/CPA qualified
- Strong computer literacy skills in particular with cloud-based programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Diligent and an eye for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to manage own portfolio and build on client relationships
- Experience in leading a team
- A willingness to be actively involved with team and the business
