My client is an established 4 Partner CA firm in Sydney CBD and are seeking an experienced Manager to join their team. They are a successful business advisory firm with 20+ staff and have developed a strong reputation in the marketplace demonstrated by a growing client base ranging across SMEs, large consolidated groups, HNW family groups, investments and SMSFs.

Role

Reporting to a highly accomplished Partner, you’ll be working in a compliance and review capacity with exposure to advisory projects. This role will require you to be involved closely with your clients in order to facilitate their compliance requirements and to achieve their business objectives through value-add/advisory services.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Taking ownership of clients and developing existing and new relationships
  • The preparation and review of income tax returns and financial reports for all entities including SMSF
  • Provision of taxation based structuring advice
  • Evaluation of Div7A, implications of company accounts and preparation of loan repayments
  • Preparation of tax projections and year-end tax planning for clients
  • Manage and review work of a team of accountants
  • Preparation of billing and managing budgets
  • Manage lodgment program
  • Delegation of tasks, managing workflow and productivity

Applicants

  • Currently working in a Manager or Assistant Manager capacity in an accounting firm
  • CA/CPA qualified or upon completion (ideal but not essential)
  • Strong accounting systems proficiency and ability to adapt to new ones
  • Exposure to SMSF admin would be looked upon favourably
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills due to the client facing nature of role
